The security market is not driven solely by customer demand and vendor profit. It’s also driven by the innovation of the “bad guys,” which in turn drives the security market to continually develop new offerings to meet new threats. The security market will therefore remain for the foreseeable future in a steady state which is “always consolidating but never consolidated.”
