Enhancing Compliance and Audit with Database Activity Monitoring
Download the report in PDF format
Database activity monitoring (DAM) solutions are an important architectural component of
information-centric security. Although the third-party vendor population remains relatively robust, monitoring
capabilities will gravitate toward security information and event management (SIEM), data leakage protection
(DLP), or other security suite components in order to create a fuller picture of information risk and compliance.
Database management system (DBMS) platform vendors will continue to enhance native functions, but the
requirements of database administrator (DBA)-independent auditing will necessitate solutions external to the
database core.
